Yesterday we followed our rumbling stomachs and ended up on this little Jalan Drupadi lunch spot. Tipped by our Little Wing friends. A cute open garden terrace, with even more cute vintage chairs and nice little flowers. Where nasi boenkoes does it for us in the morning, this place fulfills our western needs. Austrian sandwiches, cakes, salads and not to miss, [Read more →]

Ubud is probably Mecca for superhealthy raw food lovers. Among them is our supersweet Swedish friend (and organic chef) Nadja. So we went on an Ubud trip with her to taste what’s hot and what’s not. This place, Sari Organic, is definitely a WE LIKE spot. To get there is an experience on its own… wow. [Read more →]

Sometimes we feel like sneaking out of town for a lazy chill afternoon. For a deep breath. Mind clearing moment. (Or a romantic getaway…) Then this is one of the places where we hide out. Villa Desa Seni is a eco resort in Canggu. The concept was to reconstruct an Indonesian art village. It’s nly a fifteen-minute drive from our hometown Seminyak. They got ten cute antique wooden houses, an open-air yoga studio (click here for the schedule), [Read more →]

SPOT 3000

SPOT 3000 | You don’t experience Bali if you don’t eat local. It’s safe to eat at the small warungs on the street. We eat it all the time and never been sick (knock wood). Regularly we visit Ibu Made (Ibu = miss or mother). The sweet old lady makes the best gado-gado (lontong, vegetables, tempe, peanuts with peanut sauce). [Read more →]
