Every now and then, us citygals crave for some good art. Thank god we found (and we most definitely like) Kendra Gallery for contemporary art in Seminyak. Since Pris & Eve had to cover some other hot event on the island, me, a.k.a. Kim, the Bali sisa in crime, went out to check the opening of controversial and passionate Indonesian artist Tisna Sanjaya. Putted on a tight skirt, high heels and jumped on my motorbike to soak up some art, while enjoying a good glass of sangria and mingle with the artsy fartsy people in Bali. Tisna’s work is very strong and has a dark message to create more awareness on the social-political evils that are going on in area of Cigondewah in Bandung, Java, where he is originally from. Kim Randall, the foxy lady with an amazing background of art knowledge runs the show, and she gets us every month the best art by the talented Indonesians out there. So stay tuned, go check it out ’cause there’s a whole lot of more niceness to come.

The exhibition CIGONDEWAH by Tisna Sanjaya runs till the 8th of august and is open to the public daily from 10:00 – 17:00 hrs, Jl. drupadi 88x, Seminyak
